The project developed by Director of Academics in Saveetha University,Dr.Deepak Nallaswamy, breaks the monotony of hours of lectures and replaces it with facilitator mediated active learning process.

Saveetha School of Law, Saveetha University conducted an Induction Ceremony of BA. LLB (Hons), and BBA LLB (Hons) I Year 2015 at M M Convention centre here on Friday.

Prof. Dr. R. Venkata Rao, Vice Chancellor, NLSIU, Bangalore was the Chief guest. Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan Chancellor of Saveetha University presided over the function. Dr. R.Rajagopal Vice Chancellor, Dr. Deepak Nallasamy Director of Academics Saveetha University, Prof. Dr. R. Anita Rao, Director, Saveetha School of Law, were present. The First year students, their parents, current students and old students of Saveetha School of Law took part in this programme.

Chancellor Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, in his presidential address wished the fresher’s for better and bright future and he thanked the parents who have chosen this institution.  He advised the students to follow the rules and regulations of the institution as those are meant for the benefit of the students.  He requested the parents to update with the academic progress of their wards.

The Chief Guest Prof. Dr. R. Venkata Rao congratulated the students and he stated that “Saveetha University believes in innovation and not in renovation”.  He shared his personal experience with the students about the  Former President Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as a tribute to him.  He thanked the parents for taking responsibility in building the career of their children.  He stressed the importance of 3M’s namely Biological Mother, Mother Institution, Mother India.  He quoted that “Constitution is to be considered as the only holy book for all legal professionals” and he added that “Permanent values are more important than temporary values”.  He emphasised that an advocate should respect values by quoting that, “How Can You Love God, Whom You Cannot See, When You Cannot Love the Human Being, Whom You See”.  He eyes over a Million law graduates by 2020 with better quality and standard. Finally, he showered his blessings to all students.
Director of Academics Dr.Deepak Nallaswamy explained the innovative teaching methodology adopted by our university.  The learning process carried out in Saveetha University has a varied activity based learning which includes multiple interactive learning algorithm, case study learning, group learning, problem based learning, journal discussion, extended learning etc., he concluded that the aim of every institution in the universe is to produce successful professionals.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.Rajagopal explained the history and facilities of Saveetha University.  Further he stated that “Good habits are the seeds of better life and bad habits are the seeds of sorrow”.  He said students to choose good friends and cultivate good habits.
Saveetha School of Law,Director,Prof. Dr. R. Anita Rao, welcome the gathering and Asst. Prof. of Law Mrs. Vasundhra Ravi proposed a vote of thanks.
