Celebrating World Health Day
Saveetha College of Nursing, Saveetha University, Chennai is celebrating World Health Day
on the theme of “FOOD SAFETY” through Grand Food Exhibition at Poonamallee Bus Terminals on 7 th April, between 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, Chancellor Saveetha University will be inaugurating the function along with Vice Chancellor Dr.Mythili Bhaskaran, Registrar Dr.D Prabhavathy and Director Dr.Saveetha Rajesh.Poonnamallee Police Commissioner Mr. SurendharSha, Poonamallee Inspector Mr.ChandraSekar will be the Chief Guests.
The expo includes the title of Cereals, Pulses, Vegetables, Fruits, Oil & Fat, Traditional food,
Seasonal Food, Selection of Food, Medicinal Food, Junk, Packed, Repeated oil food, Refrigerator Food, half boiled, food aulteration, foods to avoid for specific diseases, Assessment of BMI & BP & foods to keep body fit. Along with Nursing students, Medical and Physiotherapy students will be participated. The expo is planned under the direction of Nursing College Principal and organized by Community Health Nursing department.
World Health Day will be celebrated on 7 April, with WHO highlighting the challenges and
opportunities associated with food safety under the slogan “From farm to plate, make food safe.”
