The project developed by Director of Academics in Saveetha University,Dr.Deepak Nallaswamy, breaks the monotony of hours of lectures and replaces it with facilitator mediated active learning process.

Malasian minister inaugurates '4 Seasons'Ultra-Luxurious Hostel block at Saveetha university








Chennai:Malasian Deputy Education minister P.Kamalanathan inaugurates '4 Seasons'Ultra-
Luxurious Hostel block at saveetha university campus at poonnamallee on saturday.The hostels would be equipped with Air-conditioned Deluxe rooms, Bath Tub and Dry
Toilets,Washing Machine, Digital Locker, Refrigerator, Induction Stove, Sofa, Smart Bed,

Study Cabinet with Pin board, and other facilities. Gandhi (senior advocate,Madras high court) was the Chief guest.Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan Chancellor of Saveetha University presided over the function. Director of Academics Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy highlighted the special features of the'4 Seasons'Ultra-Luxurious Hostel block. Saveetha university vice chancellor, Dr.R.Rajagopal welcome the gathering and Dental college Dean Dr.N.D.Jayakumar proposed a vote of thanks.

 INDUCTION CEREMONY  OF NURSING AND PHYSIOTHERAPY-2015-16
Chennai:  The induction ceremony of BSc Nursing  and BPT  for the 2015-16 Batch was conducted  at NalliArangam,Thandalam campus here on thursday.
The programme started with Tamil Thaivazhthu.Mrs.Chellammal Mariyappan was the Chief guest.Dr.N.M.Veeraiyan Chancellor of Saveetha University presided over the function.Chancellor Dr. N.M.Veeraiyan, in his presidential address wished the fresher’s for better
and bright future and he thanked the parents who have chosen Saveetha university. Vice-Chancellor Dr. R.Rajagopal explained the history and facilities of Saveetha University.The key note address was given by the Chief Guest Mrs. Chelammal Mariyappan.
Saveetha College of Nursing ,Principal Dr. P. Mangal Gowri, welcome the gathering and Saveetha College of Physiotherapy, principalDr. S. Prathap  proposed a vote of thanks.

The Pupil , Saveetha Eco School  organised "Madras Memoirs – Madras Day celebrations " on 22nd
August ,2015.
 It was a reminiscence of relevant pages in history when  The Pupil , Saveetha Eco School
organised “Madras Memoirs”  after a week of interclass competitions on the city.
The Programme was mainly aimed at showcasing the role of the school to uphold our rich tradition
for our future generation.
The gallery “Fotoatelier”,which showcased Chennai’s rich history, was a treat to the eye.
Added attractions were the weaving corner , the ‘Art Attack ‘- where parents and pupilites tried
their hand at  free hand drawing and  the ‘Chennai Family Quiz’ .he items showcased in the fiesta
include vintage clocks, cycles, cycle-rickshaws, fishing boats & nets, wooden-steps, trains, bridges built, water-ways & canals, etc. of yesteryears.  Students also exhibited selective pictures and precious treasures drawn from their own imagination of the past.
While Charkas & handloom instruments tried to occupy the prime galleries in the event, the most
attractive feature for the visitors were the hand-spun clothes.  There were multiple events with the
choir group singing the city’s glory with “Chennai Namma Ooru’, a street play with its dream of
a clean Chennai, some traditional dances and traditional stalls – “Grandma’s Kitchen” with
delicacies like kuzhi paniyaram, adhirasam, payasam  and the ever popular ‘degree Kaapi’ to
tempt the palate. Games like Kabbadi, Pallanguzhi, Dhaayam, Paandi  added verve and
enthusiasm to the show and took  even the visitors on a ride to their forgotten past-times.  .
The colourful programme attracted thousands of visitors from every walk of life like students, parents and their relatives & friends.
The Chief Guests were Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan, the Honourable Chancellor of the Saveetha
University ,the Directors of Saveetha University ,Dr.Saveetha Rajesh and Dr.S.Rajesh and
Ms. G. Sundari, a doyen in art and culture from the Theosophical Society – a teacher par
excellence who speaks of the society that was started with universal brotherhood as its
principle. Ms. Ramya Deepak was  also present.

at Poonnamallee,chennai.The faculty members, staff, students and children gathered at the occasion to celebrate the Independence Day.Dr. Deepak Nallasamy Director of Academics Saveetha University hoisted the national flag and delivered the Independence Day message.

The work published in Cochrane is recognized as representing an international gold standard for high quality, trusted information. Moreover, the Cochrane stands out with its published systematic reviews with an esteemed impact factor of 5.940.
The Cochrane contributors are involved in gathering and summarizing the best evidence from research to help its audience and make informed choices about treatment. The mission of Cochrane is to provide accessible, credible information to support informed decision-making for improving global health.  Cochrane evidence provides a powerful tool to enhance the healthcare knowledge and decision making.
As access to health evidence increases, so do the risks of misinterpreting complex content; meanwhile the likelihood of any one person getting a complete and balanced picture decreases. The mission of Cochrane is to provide this complex information in the form of high quality systematic reviews which are updated in a timely basis by the contributors, to support informed decision-making and evidence based interventions which would result in improved global health.
Cochrane's contributors are affiliated to the organization through Cochrane groups: healthcare subject-related review groups, thematic networks, groups concerned with the methodology of systematic reviews, and regional centres. One of such group held in INDIA is Cochrane Oral Health Group. We feel proud to be the part of this group with our contribution towards the same.
The author team lead by Dr. Saurav Panda, Professor Sheeja Varghese, Professor Malaiappa Sankari, Professor N. D. Jayakumar and Dr. Surendar Ramamoorthi from Saveetha University, India, with the collaboration of Dr. Massimo Del Fabbro from Università degli Studi di Milano and his colleagues, Dr. Valentina Ceresoli, Dr. Caterina Ceci  and Dr. Silvio Taschieri from University of Milan IRCCS Galazzi Orthopaedic Institute, contributed a high quality gold standard  systematic review on “Autologous Platelet Concentrates in treatment of Periodontal Defects”.
