Prison is a vital arm of the Criminal Administration System. The Personnel of the Prison Department have the onerous task of protecting the Society from those incarcerated by due process of law. Central Prison -I, Puzhal is a prison complex located in Chennai (Tiruvallur District), India. It is about 23 km from the city centre. On 29thby Saveetha Dental college for the benefit of the inmates ,this mega camp was inaugurated by Thiru.Rajendran .DIG-Range. Tamil nadu prison Department. Two team of doctors screened around 142 inmates in Convict 1 and convict II. Free oral health packs were distributed. Our service was highly
appreciated. Saveetha dental college is granted permission to set up a dental clinic inside the prison campus, where our students are able to deliver various dental procedures periodically.
